Thanksgiving...a few days later
Have you ever stopped and thought about all the things there are to be thankful for? One day a while back I started writing down in my journal all the things I am thankful for...going back over the years, thinking of events and happenings, and most of all, special people in my life. Well, the list got VERY long!! And what a good exercise!

Our Ebbie
Today it is time to introduce you to the coolest cat in the world, His Highness Ebenezer Flopmeister!! Favorite thing in the world? A scratch under the armpits!! Although he is getting on in years, he still races around the yard, 100 miles an hour..... especially if the neighbor's cat is in sight...I don't know if it is because he doesn't like her, or he is just showing off! You never know with "Ebbie". I think he is just showing off!!

Around The World
Imagine having friends all over this Globe!! It will be amazing when we all get together in glory to just hang out not just together but also with our Lord. So many exciting things this week....Let's see: Saturday afternoon (local Aussie time) Sarah and Scott became parents for the first time as little Josiah Wesley Carey was born!! Congratulations! On Tuesday, Loren will be in town (we haven't seen him for over two years), and then on Friday, Ruth heads to Africa, while the other guys are coming back from Africa!! This week our Africa group split up as Jonathan and Janie went to see Shel and Kym while Peter and Seth are running around the countryside with our own Sara M filming and taking pictures. Well on this end, we are back to the airport on Saturday as Dave and Joy and the 3 little ones are jotting over to the other side of the globe to be jungle pilots! Wow! Our friends are all over! And at the end of this month Pat takes off for a visit to Africa, and this time our son Andy is going with him....and before Pat comes back he gets to visit our old stomping ground in the Middle East!! Gresham might seem at the end of the map....but we remain pretty global out here!! We are so blessed...with so many friends all over this globe!! What a joy!

Going to the Coast

Well, we did go to the coast ...and it was beautiful...lot's of rain, fog and stormy seas, although in the harbor of Depoe Bay, it was nice and pretty, and the sun was out. My favorite picture is the one of GrandPa watching the seas. He has been an avid fisherman all his life, and also served for 3 years in the Navy during World War II.
