It has been amazing to follow the adventures of our friends in Lithuania this past year...!! We are so proud of you for hanging in there, for not giving up and for waiting to see what it was God was about to do in Kaunas...We love you guys, Peter and Jen; Matt and Sharon; Jason; Tiana and Kellie!! Friends

Yes, we are back from glorious Hawaii...to a cold, rainy but very beautiful Oregon. Green and green as ever. And back to work. That involves (among many things) staying in touch and checking in to see how our people are doing worldwide....so this morning I read Seth and Trina's blogs... (you can find their links to the left)...Two people whom God has moved to one of the poorest parts of the world...two dedicated, insightful people who have been given gifts and abilities to communicate what they see, hear and experience. And Seth and Trina are not only gifted and cool people...they are true friends. And as such it is an honor to be....their friend. Love you guys!!

Aloha everyone....we are still here enjoying a vacation of a life time. Today we swam with a turtle and saw all kinds of fish as we snorkled just down the beach from where we are staying. This place is amazing. Love you to all!!

Thoughts on a Thursday

I wonder why it is that on Thursdays I have this great need to just slow down, take it easy, spend extended time in the Word....stare out my window, and just be quiet?? Maybe it is the weekend, and the jam packed early part of the week that does that to me?...Thankfully, my schedule allows huge flexibility, and that is why you this morning will find me in my robe and slippers well past the morning hours...I am having such a great time...and part of the pleasure this morning is to spend a little time with friends overseas, reading blogs, writing notes....and just pretending that they don't really live thousands of miles away....they are just around the corner...maybe that is part of being Global?
