Argentina

On April 2 we are heading south!! All the way to Argentina!! I can hardly believe it...but it is true. We are going to visit Global Outreach Staff Tom and Colleen Feeney and their lovely twin teenagers Sarah and Josiah. We are really excited as these folks are dear friends...they have stayed with us a couple of times during their furlough visits here in Oregon. Now they get to host us! And we get to see their ministry at the Sunrise Orphanage there in San Nicolas (3 hours north of Buenos Aires)...so, we ask for your prayers as we go...and hopefully, this blog will be our primary way of giving you updates during our visit to this place where summer is over and fall is coming! I wonder what that is like? Well, we will find out.

We went to the Coast this weekend for a mini-retreat...it was good to get away, rest, talk, pray and re-group. It rained the entire weekend....but what is more beautiful than a stormy Oregon coast?

This and That

Well, after being called "Elvis" by all kinds of people, I am back to just plain old Rakie (Pat's nick name for me). And that is good. The retreat was fun, refreshing and good. Now it is all behind us...BUT I cannot forget the great things I learned from our great speaker. Things that will probably be with me for a very long time. Good, Biblical, life keys.
Otherwise, I got a few pictures to show you ....first, our friend Celestine from Rwanda who was the speaker at Multnomah Missions Conference this year. Then some of our friends from around here who came over to say hi to Gary, Helena and Carmen. They have been visiting with us for a few days this week....and it has been GREAT!!
